Abdelmadjid Tebboune cancels all festivities celebrating start of Algerian revolution on November 1

According to the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has ordered the cancellation of all celebrations marking November 1, which coincides with the anniversary of the start of the Algerian revolution.

He requested all embassies and diplomatic missions, consulates and consulates general abroad to cancel all ongoing preparations for festivities commemorating the celebration of the outbreak of the National Liberation War.

According to the same source, “the decision voices the solidarity of the Algerian people and the Algerian State with their Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, under the blockade, and who are confronting the crimes of the Zionist invasion”.
