This Saturday early in the evening, Angola defeated Mauritania 3-2 in the penultimate match on the program for the second day of Group D of AFCON 2024.
The goals of this match, refereed by the Egyptian Mohamed Maarouf Eid Mansour, were scored by the Angolan striker Al Wakra Gelson Dala (30′ – see video) before the equalizer for the Mourabitounes via Sidi Bouna Amar.
In the second half, Gelson Dala then Gilberto gave the Palancas Negras of Angola the advantage as they decreased the score to 3-2, 5 minutes later.
The Angolans managed to win to put themselves in a suitable position in the race for the round of 16, while the Mauritanians failed to add 3 precious points to their tally before facing Algeria.
