AFCON 2024: Guinea surprises Equatorial Guinea and goes to quarterfinals (videos)

As part of the 2nd part of the knockout stages of the AFCON 2024, Guinea defeated Equatorial Guinea 1-0 and went to the quarterfinals in  Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium (60,000 seats).

This event hardly disturbed the band at Kaba Diawara in front of Equatorial Guinea, to get the privilege of reaching the 1/4 finals, where they will encounter either the Pharaons, 7 times champions, or the Congolese Leopards, double winners, on February 2 in the same stadium.

Equatorial Guinea, with 10 players since the 55th minute then a missed penalty by Nsue (68′) who was overwhelmed by crushing the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire 4-0, failed to impress and challenge all predictions and also to sign his fourth qualification in the quarter-finals, and displaying an impressive run without defeat since September 22, 2022.
