Two workers of the Afghanistan’s independent human rights commission in Kabul were killed in a bomb attack to vehicle .
The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) announced in a declaration that 24-year-old donor coordinator Fatima Khalil and 41-year-old driver Ahmad Jawed Folad were murdered by an explosive device while riding an AIHRC vehicle that was heading to its office on Saturday.
“It is intolerable, assassinating human rights defenders is a war crime in the context of armed conflict,” the AIHRC stated, adding that workers had earlier been the targets of assaults.
No group declared responsibility for the attack. A Taliban spokesman rejected the group was involved.
