Agreement with IMF: Ennahdha denounces media blackout

Ennahdha recollected that it will boycott the legislative elections of December 17, 2022, qualifying the electoral meeting as a “masquerade”.

The party believed that the amendment of the electoral law and the extension of the deadlines for submitting applications were made due to the low participation rate pointing out that several electoral districts stay without candidates.

On the other hand, Ennahdha considered that the President of the Republic  Kais Saïed hampered the movement of magistrates by exploiting the Ministry of Justice.

It also condemned the media blackout which accompanied the government’s agreement with the IMF and calls for lifting the veil on its content.
