Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Sunday declared that the country will continue the closure of land, air and sea borders closed till the finish of the COVID-19 crisis, the official APS news agency reported.
President Tebboune further stated in a cabinet meeting that firmer measures will be taken against citizens who do not adhere to preventive measures.
Algeria has closed all border crossing points with neighbouring nations and suspended all flights and sea voyages since mid-March.
