This initiative comes in application of the decision of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to come to the assistance of Lebanon by providing it with the energy necessary to overcome its current crisis.

The cargo, estimated at 30 thousand tons of Fuel is intended to guarantee the supply of Lebanese power plants and contribute to the restoration of electricity in the country.

This Fuel produced at the Skikda Refinery, is distinguished by its high energy quality and its low sulfur content, a necessary condition for the production of electricity.

“This initiative illustrates Algeria’s unwavering dedication to supporting the brotherly Lebanese people in the difficult times they are going through. This effort also reflects the humanitarian and solidarity spirit that prevails in relations between Algeria and Lebanon, thus contributing to strengthening the ties of cooperation and fraternity between the two countries,” reads a statement from SONATRACH.
