Arab Barometer: 46% of Tunisians thinking about immigration, according to survey

The results of a survey conducted by Arab Barometer reveal that 46% of Tunisians are considering emigration from 2023 to 2024. This survey included seven Arab countries in the MENA region.

 

The results for Tunisia indicate that 71% of those who want to immigrate or are thinking regarding immigration are young people (18-29 years old). 60% of those who are thinking about immigration have a university level.

Economic motivations represent the primary reasons for leaving the country for 89% of those who wish to immigrate.

Tunisians who think of immigration to France (31%), the USA (3%), Germany (22%), Canada (20%) and Qatar (5%) as preferred destinations.

Note that 42% are thinking of immigrating illegally.
