(Audio) 170 injured in Sudan as protests against military coup

 

Commenting on the latest protests that Sudan has witnessed following the military coup, a representative of the Sudan doctors committee Dr Wali told Tunisie Numérique that since the coup  170 people were injured and 12 martyrs. On October 31, 2021, three people were martyred two in Omdurman hospital and the third in Al Arbaeen Hospital, the latter were also the result of live fired ammunition.

Our speaker pointed out that two were run over by a military vehicle and others sustained several fractures. All the 170 injured varies according to city and state, he added.

Asked about the state of health of the injured, Dr Wali said that they had dealt with cases of suffocation among them 11 cases with expected severe health outcomes.
