Australian Open: Ons Jabeur trains with Naomi Osaka (video)

In the first round of the Australian Grand Slam, Ons Jabeur is set to face Ukrainian Yuliia Starodubtseva On the other hand, Naomi Osaka will be challenged by the Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, currently ranked 20th in the world. This event is significant for fans of women’s tennis as it marks the return of Naomi Osaka to a Grand Slam, having not played in one since the US Open in 2022, almost sixteen months ago.

 

As a reminder, here is the WTA points allocation strategy for the 2024 Australian Grand Slam:

▪️ Winner: 2000 points and $3,150,000

▪️ Finalist: 1200 points and $1,725,000

▪️ Semi-final: 780 points and $990,000

▪️ Quarter-final: 430 points and $600,000

▪️ Round of 16: 240 points and $375,000

▪️ 3rd round: 130 points and $255,000

▪️ 2nd round: 70 points and $180,000

▪️ 1st round: 10 points and $120,000
