Barbara Walters, legendary news anchor, has died at 93

News broadcasting trailblazer Barbara Walters passed away on Friday at the age of 93.

The longtime journalist became the first female to anchor evening news in 1976 when she joined the network. In her carrier, Walters interviewed a number of politicians and world leaders before launching “The View” in 1997. She made her final appearance as a co-host on the program in 2014.
