Beirut explosion: 100 dead and more than 4000 wounded

The Lebanese Red Cross announced, on Wednesday, that the explosion that rocked the Beirut port yesterday left at least 100 people dead, and more victims are still under the rubble

The Lebanese Cabinet is holding today an extraordinary session to discuss the consequences of the explosion.

The Red Cross said in a statement: “So far more than 4 thousand people were injured and more than 100 were killed,” noting that teams are still conducting search and rescue operations in the areas surrounding the explosion site.
