United States President Joe Biden called on Monday Russian President Vladimir Putin as “bright and though,” adding, ahead of the talks between the two leaders, that Putin is a “worthy adversary.”
Answering a question of whether he still deems the Russian president is “a killer,” during a press conference in Brussels, Biden stated that his answer was honest, but dropped its significance in regard to the upcoming meeting in Geneva.
Biden revealed that Russia will be given a chance to “decide in which area it wishes to cooperate,” underlining that Putin’s reluctance to collaborate in a field such as “cybersecurity” will be responded, “in kind.”
