Biden: Queen was ‘a stateswoman of unmatched dignity’

United States President Joe Biden voiced his deepest condolences to the British Royal family on Thursday after Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died earlier in the day at the age of 96.

The US president emphasised her great contribution to relations between the two countries, referring to her as ”a steadying presence and a source of comfort and pride for generations of Britons,” and ”a stateswoman of unmatched dignity and constancy.”

”Her legacy will loom large in the pages of British history, and in the story of our world,” Biden concluded.
