Bizerte: Why Did the Saudi’s Yacht Crash into the Dock?

An imposing 88-meter yacht crashed this Friday, October 11, into the dock at the Port of Bizerte, causing considerable damage to the vessel, according to Mohamed Ali Ben Ammar, the port director, as told to Diwan FM. The same source noted that the yacht, owned by a foreign businessman—specifically a Saudi national, according to Mosaique FM—arrived in Bizerte around 12:30 p.m. from Italy.

The yacht was supposed to refuel, but the captain lost control while docking, causing the yacht to collide with the quay. Ben Ammar likewise noted that an inquiry was promptly initiated under the leadership of the Bizerte maritime guard to determine the exact causes of the incident.
