Blinken, S. Arabia FM talk on six-week ceasefire

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken talked with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan about the initiatives both countries can implement to secure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for no less than six weeks, during a call on Friday, spokesperson Matthew Miller said.

Blinked committed to maintaining tight collaboration with regional and global allies to “promote calm” throughout the sacred month of Ramadan and prepare “for the post-conflict phase.” In addition, he stressed the importance of the ongoing alliance among international partners to safeguard “freedom of navigation” in the Red Sea waters.
