The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said on Thursday that the decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was not political and that it “has to be respected and implemented.”
Borrell added that the ICC’s decision is binding and that all countries party to the court are required to implement it. He reminded that all EU member states are parties to the ICC’s statute.
