Breaking news: Global coronavirus deaths exceed 800,000

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus surpassed the 800.000 marks on Monday, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Data compiled by the university showed that the number of deaths worldwide has reached 809 106 while 15 148 349 people have recovered.
There are also 23 447 224 confirmed cases worldwide, according to the university, with 5 703 725 recorded so far in the US, making it the country with the most infections.Brazil, which has the largest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Latin America, also has the second-highest number of cases worldwide with 3 605 783followed by India with 3 106 348 and Russia with 959 016
