Breaking news: Global COVID-19 cases top 11 million

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide topped 11 million on Friday, according to Worldometers statistics tally.

The United States remained the most affected country by the pandemic worldwide with almost  2,865,014 cases registered, followed by Brazil with 1,508,991 confirmed infections.

Russia ranks third with 667,883 cases while India came fourth with  649,504 cases
