“Bride of the Revolution” statue … a creation from the tragedy of the Beirut explosion

Lebanese activists unveiled a monument in the name of “The Bride of the Revolution” to coincide with the passing of a year since the anniversary of the October 17, 2019 demonstrations that led to the resignation of Saad Hariri’s government.

Activists said that the statue, also called “Our Lady of Freedom,” was born from the womb of the tragedy, and was placed at the site of the Beirut Port explosion.

The statue of the Lebanese woman came from the creativity of a number of Lebanese artists, using the ruins of the Beirut Port explosion, whose events shook the world in August.
