Meeting of the Bureau of the House of People’s Representatives: Referral of Draft Law Criminalizing Sorcery and Witchcraft to the General Legislation Committee
Mr. Ibrahim Bouderbala, President of the House of the People’s Representatives, chaired the Bureau meeting on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The Bureau discussed the 15 draft laws presented to the Assembly and decided to refer them to the relevant parliamentary committees.
Among these was Draft Law No. 25/2024, which proposes the criminalization of sorcery and witchcraft. It was referred to the General Legislation Committee for examination and discussion.
The Bureau also reviewed written questions that MPs intend to address to members of the government and decided to forward 57 questions to the concerned ministers.
At the end of its session, the Bureau also addressed several topics related to the international activities of the Assembly of the People’s Representatives.
