Twenty people were killed and fifteen injured on Saturday in Colombia between the cities of Pasto and Popayan after a bus flipped over likely due to a mechanical fault, transport police authorities announced.
Thirty-five people were travelling on the bus, including 33 passengers and two drivers, according to Colonel Oscar Lamprea, director of traffic and transportation in the region.
The wounded have been carried to nearby hospitals, although several people remain trapped in the vehicle, the police said.
