There is no doubt that those familiar with the financial, economic and social situation recognise that Tunisia has noticed tangible developments confirmed by clear facts and figures. These developments succeeded in bringing the country out of the phase of crises and perilous slides.

Thanks to the security successes and stability that Tunisia is encountering today at the internal and external levels, particularly in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has seen qualitative progress in its performance, it has been capable of opening new doors for cooperation and investment with countries around the world.

On the social level, Tunisia reveals outstanding stability despite challenges such as attempts by some opposition politicians and turbulent union movements.

This general atmosphere makes the concerns and concerns of Tunisians focus on the economic situation and providing a decent living. It is striking that today’s public debate focuses on the need for long-term economic plans and a clear vision for the future.

In this context, the role of the Ministry of Economy arises as an essential and influential focus in the next stage, a role that qualifies it to be considered a sovereign ministry. While providing security and guaranteeing our borders militarily, the classification of the Ministry of Economy among the sovereign ministries remains possible and necessary to face the major challenges ahead.
