CAF CL (Gr C): Etoile stalls (2-0) against Petro Atletico (videos)

After Esperance’s significant loss to Al Hilal in Tanzania, Etoile du Sahel faced Petro Atletico d’Angola on Saturday at the Hamadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès. Unfortunately, Etoile du Sahel was defeated 2-0 by the Angolan team, with Portuguese striker Alexandre Guedes scoring a double (45+4′ and 67′).

Despite the support from the Sahelian public, Etoile du Sahel faced a challenging match against a resilient Angolan team that had previously impressed in their first outing by defeating Al Hilal Omdurman (1-0).

In the group C standings, Petro Atletico is the clear leader with 6 points, followed by Al Hilal and Esperance de Tunis with 3 points each. Etoile du Sahel is at the bottom of the group with zero points after two rounds.
