CAF Cup (Gr C): 3-1 winner in Luanda, CA continues against Académica

In their pursuit of qualification for the quarter-finals of the 2023-2024 CAF Cup, the club’s players faced a crucial match this Sunday to avoid slipping behind. They secured a significant victory against Académica do Lobito (3-1) in hostile terrain, confirming their strong performance in recent matches.

The hat trick for the “red and white” team was accomplished by Bassem Srarfi (46′ and 75′) and Hamdi Laabidi (53′), while the opposing team managed to score through Samuel Chissapa Cachimbombo (60′).

With this triumph, the club members maintain their position at the top of the standings with 6 points. They face two crucial matchups in the coming weeks, starting with a summit clash against Rivers United next Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium (Uyo). Following that, they will compete against Etoile du Sahel in a later match of J14 in Ligue 1 pro.
