Four earthquakes hit off the northern end of Vancouver Island on December 23.
The first tremor knocked 166 kilometres west of Port Hardy today, at a deepness of 10 kilometres. Earthquakes Canada proclaimed it as a 5.1-magnitude seismic event while the U.S. Geological Survey reported it the quake as 5.2-magnitude.
The second quake hit a few hours, 170 kilometres west of Port Hardy at a depth of 10 kilometres at 11:13 a.m.Then the most considerable of the three-tremor jolted at 11:49 a.m., 175 kilometres west of Port Hardy. The fourth one rattled at 12:56 p.m.
Both Earthquakes Canada and the U.S. Geological Survey estimated it as a 6.0-magnitude quake.
