Canada-Canadians wake up to nuclear alert sent in error

The Canadian province of Ontario confessed for incorrectly raising the alarm about an incident at a massive nuclear power station near Toronto and indicted a training exercise mistake.

On Sunday cell phone users across Ontario received a warning about the assumed incident. An hour later the Ontario Power Generation (OPG) authority announced the message had been a misunderstanding.

“The alert was issued in error to the public during a routine training exercise,” Ontario’s Solicitor-General Sylvia Jones announced in a declaration.

“The government of Ontario sincerely apologizes for raising public concern and has begun a full investigation to determine how this error happened.”
