Chaalali and Dahman: “We must not be afraid of Burkina Faso”

48 hours separate us from the giant meeting, the quarter-final against Burkina Faso. As a result, we are impatiently awaiting the results of the covid-19 tests that all our players and all the members of the national staff will experience this Thursday. Let’s go back to the pre-game and the statements of the players, who recently came from Douala: Chaalali and Dahman.

As for the Esperanto midfielder Ghaylene Chaalali, he emphasised the difficulty of confronting Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals: “There is no tough or easy competitor in the tournament, the level of the teams is tight. We must not be afraid of Burkina Faso, while playing on the reality of the capacity of the Eagles of Carthage to reach the semi-finals”.

On qualifying against Nigeria, he commented: “From the isolation seat in Douala, it was hard. I was on my nerves overseeing the Nigeria game on TV, the players who partook were on time. We are qualified, we relieve our suffering throughout the quarantine period after the Coronavirus infection”. F

or his part, Sfaxien goalkeeper Aymen Dahma n said: “During the quarantine period, we have attempted to maintain our physical shape, in order to be ready when we resume activity with the group. I ensure that we were with the team with our hearts as we watched the Nigeria game in Douala.” Concerning Saturday’s game against Burkina Faso, the Tunisian goalkeeper said: “The confrontation will be difficult, but with fine preparation, confidence in our abilities, the spirit of champions and our great solidarity, we will manage to beat Burkina Faso and to qualify for the semi-finals”.
