China blasts US visa restrictions for CCP members

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying (pictured) denounced on Thursday the new visa laws that the United States presented for the members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), alleging that the measures are a consequence of an “ideological bias” that some “extreme anti-China” forces in Washinton hold.

During a daily press briefing, she added that Beijing has “lodged representations” with the US, and showed hope that the US officials will begin seeing “China and China’s development in a more rational, calm and objective manner,” and “abandon their hatred” towards the CCP.

According to the new regulations, the US will enable the members of China’s largest political party to stay in the US for up to a month with a travel visa, as opposed to the previous regime that allowed them to spend up to 10 years in the country.
