Chairman of the Chamber of Non-alcoholic Beverage Producers Lasaad Mzah said, Tuesday, that the stock of packaged mineral water is sufficient to meet the country’s demand, stressing that citizens should not fear any shortage in the upcoming period.
He denied the rumors circulating online about a possible future shortage of packaged mineral water, saying that “these rumous are baseless”.
On the other hand, Mzah explained that the lack of bottled mineral water observed recently on national markets is “probably due to a disruption in the supply during the break of Eid al-Fitr.”
The Ministry of Commerce called on all stakeholders working in the mineral water packaging and distribution sector to take a set of measures to ensure the fluidity and transparency in creating water stocks so as to meet the any additional demand in the country during the summer season, TAP news agency reported.
