Clarification : “Tunisia: WHO registered 376 new contaminations in Tunisia”

Tunisie Numérique has been contacted by the WHO office in Tunisia who wished to clarify the article “Tunisia: WHO has registered 376 new contaminations in Tunisia”.

Below is the email received from the WHO Office Communications Officer in Tunisia.

**************************

………………………… in the article written by Ms. Sabrine Hamouda a number of cases of 376 were recorded as of September 09, based on the WHO dashboard.

In fact, the number 376 is a total of the last 2 days which are 293 cases confirmed on the date of September 08 + 83 cases confirmed on the date of September 07.

It is well displayed on the WHO dashboard and it is a mistake on our part. Our teams in Geneva are in the process of correcting the information.

We apologize for this confusing error.

Therefore, please correct the article as this is a two-day cumulative, and it is not daily epidemiological data.

I take this opportunity to inform you that the WHO office in Tunisia is based on epidemiological data communicated by the Ministry of Health via the Facebook page, the website and the covid-19.tn site. ……… …………………………
