Climate: Summer 2024, One of the Hottest Summers in Nearly 75 Years

The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) revealed that the summer of 2024 ranks as the 4th hottest summer ever recorded since 1950.

The same source stressed that Tunisia experienced an exceptionally hot season across the entire country, with particularly intense heat in the southern and southwestern regions.

The average maximum temperature reached 35.7°C, which is 1.3°C above the norm, while the average minimum temperature was 23.3°C, exceeding the norm by 1.7°C.
