Coronavirus: France sees post-lockdown daily record of 6,111 new infections

France recorded 6,111 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours,  the country’s Ministry of Health announced  The figure marks the newest cases registered since March and brings France’s total coronavirus case tally to 259,698.

Meanwhile, the total number of deaths from the virus since the start of the pandemic increased to 30,576 as 32 more deaths from COVID-19 were registered since the previous update.
