COVID-19 death toll in Russia surpasses 22,000

Russia’s Health Ministry informed on Thursday the country has registered 11,493 new COVID-19 cases and 191 coronavirus-related deaths over the previous day. With the latest update, the total numbers have been brought to 1.26 million positive cases and 22,000 reported fatalities.

As the daily data continues to worsen, today’s increase almost broke the recorded high seen on May 11, when 11,656 cases were recorded.
