In line with the President of the Republic’s directives, the Tunisian Embassy in Lebanon, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Tunisians Abroad, along with Tunisair and other government agencies, facilitated the return of a third group of Tunisians and their families living in Lebanon to Tunisia on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
The embassy revealed it had coordinated the departure of 92 citizens, prioritizing security, health, and social needs, from Beirut to Cairo aboard a Middle East Airlines flight.
“Our embassy in Egypt is committed to assisting them upon their arrival at Cairo Airport and ensuring all required conditions for their repatriation to Tunisia on the same day via a Tunisair flight,” the statement noted.
With the support and close attention of Tunisian authorities, the embassy reiterated that all its services remain available 24/7 to help Tunisians who have chosen to stay in Lebanon or were unable to join this flight, providing them with necessary aid in light of the exceptional circumstances their host country is currently facing.
