Death of Iranian president: investigation report is out, there will be no fight against Israel

The passing of Iranian President Ebrahim Raïssi following the crash of his helicopter on May 19, 2024, is a political tremor for the country and the entire region. Indeed, a presidential election was scheduled for June 28 and in a game of musical chairs of which Tehran has the secret Raïssi was, it was said, to take the chair of Supreme Guide Ali Khamenei, who at 85 years old is exhibiting signs of fatigue. Similarly, the death of the president follows the exchange of arms between Israel and Iran, after the deadly attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria. So the conjectures and assumptions went in all directions: And if Tel Aviv had liquidated Raisi, why not the Americans, etc.? The official report from the Iranian army puts an end to the noise.

Remember that the helicopter also carried Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and six other individuals, all of whom died last Sunday. The machine dropped in the northwest of the country, in a mountainous and wooded area, most likely due to bad weather conditions. The army said it needed “more time” to shed light on the causes of the accident. So the matter is not closed…
