The fire that broke out in a Turkish ski resort in the Bolu province on Tuesday claimed the lives of 66 individuals, while 51 were injured, Turkish Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared at a press conference.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health Kemal Memisoglu revealed that out of those wounded, one person was put in intensive care, while 17 people have been discharged so far.
Turkish authorities further stated that four chief inspectors were assigned to investigate the incident. One of the survivors told Anadolu Agency that the hotel’s fire detection system didn’t go off. According to reports, the fire started in the hotel’s restaurant.
