Denmark is awaited to declare that it will permanently cease administering the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine, Danish media outlets reported on Wednesday.
According to reports, the AstraZeneca jab will be fully retracted from the country’s vaccination program over concerns that it causes blood clots. The country has previously imposed a provisional suspension, while the issue was being investigated. Denmark has purchased 2.4 million doses of the vaccine.
Furthermore, the report also states that there will be a pause in administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which the country purchased 8.2 million doses, over recent findings that it may also cause blood clots. The company has already announced it will pause the vaccine distribution in Europe over the fears.
