The departure of remaining Afghan refugees from the United States Air Base Rammstein in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate to the US has been delayed due to a handful of evacuees testing positive for the coronavirus, an Air Base spokesman said on Monday.
According to the statement, the individuals will “remain isolated until they can travel safely in accordance with current health guidelines.” The Air Base has not set an exact date for the departures.
