Desert Locust Control in Tataouine: More than 1,000 hectares treated

The Tataouine Regional Agricultural Development Commission revealed that the total area treated for desert locusts since March 12, 2025, has reached approximately 1,005 hectares to date, as of April 10, 2025.

It added that its services are continuing their operations to monitor and treat desert locusts present in the Ksar Aoun region in the Beni Mhira delegation, as well as in the Ouni areas of Dhehiba, Meghni and El Jouacha in the Remada delegation.

These operations, the commissioner indicated, were carried out on the night of April 10, 2025, employing nighttime ground treatments.

These operations continue daily, with aerial treatments when weather conditions are favorable, in addition to the nighttime ground treatments carried out continuously.
