The Ministry of the Interior revealed this Friday important changes within the municipality of Tunis, following a surprise visit by the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, to the sub-directorates of equipment and cleanliness. During this visit, the president cited multiple violations and signs of gross negligence.
As a result, immediate measures were taken, including the dismissal of several senior officials. The people impacted by these decisions are the person responsible for managing the current affairs of the municipality of Tunis and the general director of roads, green spaces and parks.
These dismissals highlight President Saïed’s determination to fight against neglect and improve the management of essential municipal services for the citizens of Tunis.
