Doha Worlds: Ayoub Hafnaoui eliminated in heats in the 400m freestyle

Ayoub Hafnaoui failed to qualify for the 400m final this Sunday, February 11.

 Competing for a hat-trick of world titles 400-800-1,500, Hafnaoui was incapable of qualifying for the 400m final, placing 17th after clocking three minutes 48.05 seconds.

Former world champion, Australian Elijah Winnington qualified in first place with a time of 3:44.37.

The other Tunisian swimmer Ahmed Jaouadi also suffered a setback in the same race, he placed 5th in series n°4 with a time equal to 3’49″85. In the general classification, he is ranked 25th.

Hafnaoui will still attempt to defend his 800 and 1,500m freestyle titles later in the competition.
