Egypt: Hamas says Biden’s proposal ‘positive’

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry (pictured) pointed out on Monday that Hamas described United States President Joe Biden’s most recent ceasefire proposal as “positive,” and the mediator is currently anticipating Israel’s response, local media reported on Monday.

The minister further expressed that it is “difficult” for the Rafah Crossing to continue functioning without the Palestinian Authority’s administration and reiterated Egypt’s firm stance in rejecting Israeli presence at the Rafah border crossing with Gaza.
