Egypt, Jordan, Iraq slam Israel for Lebanon strikes

Egypt, Jordan and Iraq issued on Wednesday a joint statement condemning Israel’s recent strikes on southern Lebanon. The countries’ respective Foreign Ministries said Israel is “pushing the region towards all-out war.”

The three countries held a meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday and concluded that stopping the “dangerous escalation” between Israel and Hezbollah “begins by halting Israel’s aggression in Gaza.”
