Egypt’s El-Sisi orders army to be ready for missions abroad amid tensions over Libya

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday ordered his army to be ready to carry out any mission inside or outside the country to protect its national security amid tensions over intervention in neighbouring Libya.

“Be ready to accomplish any mission whether here within our borders or – if needed – beyond our borders,” President Sisi addressed the Air Force elements in the Western Military Zone.

The president warned against the foreign intervention in Libya for it composes a threat to regional, European, and global security and stability.
