Enhancing Regional Hospital in Jendouba with Modern Medical Equipment for Benefit of Citizens

The Jendouba Governorate has taken a significant step toward improving healthcare services by equipping the regional hospital with advanced medical devices, at a cost of nearly 2 million dinars, financed by the Ministry of Health.

This development will enable faster diagnosis, more precise treatment, and ease the suffering of patients, especially in the interior regions.

Key New Equipment:

  • A blood coagulation analyzer (CS1600)
  • NFS device for blood disease analysis (DXH690T and Sysmex XN)
  • Advanced biochemistry analyzer (Beckman Coulter)
  • Device for measuring blood sugar levels (HbA1c)
  • Microscope with a screen to facilitate diagnosis and medical training
  • Acoustic isolation room for hearing tests
  • Light tunnel for treating jaundice in newborns

The goal of these new devices is to:

  • Reduce waiting times,
  • Improve diagnostic accuracy,
  • Alleviate pressure on university hospitals,
  • Bring healthcare services closer to citizens.

 

The Ministry of Health explained that this accomplishment is part of the state’s vision to enhance health equity and is in line with the directives of President Kais Saied to strengthen the public health sector in the interior regions.
