Turkish authorities have discovered the body of an Egyptian physician who had been missing for a week, after arriving in Istanbul for a tourist trip.
Turkish authorities reported the discovery of the body of Egyptian doctor Noha Mahmoud Salem, who disappeared a week ago during a visit to the country, adding that the body was found in a forest area in the Bayrampasa region of Istanbul.
The doctor’s friends disclosed to the press that she was 64 years old, worked as an anaesthesia specialist and led social initiatives in her city of Alexandria, including an initiative called “Don’t blink at field. ”, and she appeared in Egyptian media to speak about this initiative.
According to Turkish newspapers, the family of the Egyptian doctor demanded an investigation of the incident and the arrest of the killer, who allegedly committed the crime with the motive of theft.
The family stated the doctor went to Turkey a month ago on a tourist trip and disappeared a week ago. After the body was found, a DNA analysis was carried out and her identity was confirmed, adding that the body was handed over to her son who arrived in Turkey to search for her after losing contact with her.
