Ex-European Parliament VP reportedly shot in Madrid

Former European Parliament Vice President Alejo Vidal-Quadras was shot in the head in Madrid, apparently by two people who were riding a motorcycle, local media such as El Pais and El Espanol reported on Thursday.

According to the sources from the National Police (CNP) El Pais cited, the politician was still conscious when he was taken to hospital. They said that the servicemen are at the spot at the moment and investigating the event. Meanwhile, the sources from the local emergency service stressed a 78-year-old man was admitted to one of the Spanish capital’s hospitals and subsequently stabilized.
