Fauci: Moderna’s 2 doses not enough for Omicron

United States National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci warned on Wednesday that two doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine result in a “substantially low” immune response in regard to the Omicron variant.

During a regular COVID task force briefing, he explained that a booster dose of Moderna’s vaccine puts the shot’s neutralizing activity “well within the range of neutralizing” the new strain.
