Fauci: US to stay in WHO, likely to join COVAX

United States President Joe Biden’s Chief Medical Advisor Anthony Fauci confirmed on Thursday that the US will stay  a member of the World Health Organization (WHO). On Wednesday, Biden concluded  an executive order overturning the Trump administration’s decision to pull out  from the WHO.

Fauci added the US will carry out  its financial obligations to the WHO and stop recalling staff working with the organization. He likewise reported  that Biden will probably  sign a directive on the intent to join the COVAX facility, which aims to ensure an equitable distribution of the coronavirus vaccine.
